Tatty Bumpkin was started in 2004, to provide a creative children's programme inspired by yoga.

Our motto is "bendy, giggly, clever and strong..." which is what we would like all our children to become. Behind the quirky and fun character and yoga stories lies thorough developmental theory.

Now after all these years, we feel we have perfected our award-winning national programme, and it is recognised by childcare professionals as being at the forefront of children's developmental activities.

Tatty Bumpkin is a character at the centre of yoga-inspired movement stories, incorporating music, storytelling and postures inspired by yoga. There is a progressive 'curriculum' for babies 0-2 (Baby Bumpkin) and 2-7 (Tatty Bumpkin) through magical stories that have been developed by paediatric physiotherapists, yoga teachers, musicians and educationalists. The award winning classes are delivered nationally as private classes, in nurseries, pre-schools, schools, clubs, festivals, weddings....anywhere there are children and parents looking for fun.

All our Tatty Bumpkin props are fairly traded through our work with a fair trade co-operative in Sri Lanka and the programme is aligned to the Early Years Curriculum.
